Nutrition 21's Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) is comprised of distinguished physicians and researchers, with significant expertise in the therapeutic areas targeted by the company's products. The SAB provides guidance to Nutrition 21 on research and future product development. Members of the SAB include Dr. Robert Golden, Dean and Vice Chancellor Medical Affairs at the University of Wisconsin School Medicine and Public Health; Dr. Francine Kaufman, a former president of the American Diabetes Association, Director of the Comprehensive Childhood Diabetes Center and Head of the Center for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Children's Hospital Los Angeles; Dr. Louis Ignarro, 1998 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, Distinguished Professor of Pharmacology, Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, UCLA School of Medicine; and Dr. Ron Krauss, Senior Scientist and Director, Atherosclerosis Research Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute, Guest Senior Scientist, Department of Genome Sciences Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Adjunct Professor, Department of Nutritional Sciences University of California, Berkeley.
