Phillip M. Satow
|
| Phillip M. Satow comes to Nutrition 21 as
Chairman. Phil has more than 30 years of experience in the
pharmaceutical industry. He was Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of
JDS Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused
on the psychiatry and woman’s health markets with more than 50
sales representatives. Phil and his son Michael built JDS from
inception to more than $30 million in sales in three years. JDS
was sold to Noven Pharmaceuticals in 2007 for $125 million in
cash. Prior to JDS, Phil was Executive Vice President of Forest
Laboratories, Inc. where he oversaw all marketing and sales
functions, and was President of Forest Pharmaceuticals as well
as a former member of the Forest board of directors. For 15
years as head of sales and marketing for Forest, Phil built the
company’s sales and marketing infrastructure and retired after
launching Forest’s most successful product, the anti-depressant
Celexa. Prior to joining Forest, he served as Vice President and
General Manager of the Wallace Laboratories Division of Carter
–Wallace, Inc. He held a variety of executive positions at
Pfizer, Inc. over a 14 year period, including Director of
Marketing, Pfizer Laboratories, and Vice President of, Pfizer
Europe. Phil has served on the boards of directors of Forest
Laboratories, Inc., Crucell, Inc., Eyetech, Inc., and Noven,
among others. Phil has a BA from Columbia College and an MA from
Georgetown University. |
